总体战与日本主银行体制的形成/Total War and the establishment of The Main Bank System
After the 1990s，three theories that challenged widely accepted ideas appeared in Japanese historical circles. According to these theories，the major features in Japanese economic system originated before World War II but took shape during the total war period when Japan launched wars of invasion. These survived into the post-war period, playing an important role in Japan’s rapid economic growth. Enlightened by these theories, the paper is tried to get a new conclusion about the emergence and establishment of The Main Bank System.
The modern bank system sprouted in the very beginning of Meiji times, but the enterprises of Japan during Meiji times enlarge reproduction mainly by shares and their own stock capital. The financial system changed sharply after the war of invasion of China and the establishment of total war system. Loan Syndicate was popular and The Main Bank System emerged and established under the Wartime Planned Economy. The post war reformation guided by America did not make a fundamental transformation of Japan’s financial system, The Main Bank System was continued and expanded to contemporary Japan.
