(Japan)),1996//,31(1):15-22 摘要: We constructed a novel measurement system of hyperpolarizability β at the excited state of molecules in solutions directly, which includes nano-second Hyper-Rayleigh Scattering (HRS) method with CW argon (Ar) laser excitation. The increase of HRS intensity for p-nitroaniline (pNA) was observed in methanol solutions upon excitation with Ar laser at 457.9 nm. The ratio of HRS intensities with and without excitation I(ex)/I(o) depended on the concentration and the excitation power. Other possibilities for the observed increase such as Raman scattering, fluorescence, and the two photon process were excluded after detailed studies.
