The nanowires were 30-100 nm in diameter and several micrometers in length according to FE-SEM images, and they were identified to have a chalcopyrite structure of CuInS2 by the results of X-ray diffraction. Effects of annealing treatment on the nanowires were also examined. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd.
