It was observed that carbon nanofibers increase the melt strength of PEEK without reducing the maximum melt-elongation velocity significantly. It was shown that CNFs can be fully incorporated into delicate structures, such as, foam struts and cell membranes, where they can provide mechanical reinforcement and other property enhancements.
