X-ray Diffraction (XRD) shows that the interlayer spacing of graphite oxide increases significantly after modification. An in situ intercalation polymerization was conducted in the presence of graphite oxide intercalation compounds to fabricate polystyrene/graphite oxide nanocomposite. The morphology study of composite by XRD and transmission Electron Microscope (TEM)shows that graphite oxide are delaminated into nanosheets with thickness of 10 nm~30 nm, dispersing in polymer matrix. Due to the presence of graphite oxide nanosheets, the polystyrene/graphite oxide nanocomposite exhibits more excellent thermal stability relative to bulk poly-styrene material and poly-styrene/graphite composite. 关键词: ;
